# Steering The Prophet

Hold $PROPHET to vote on thesis and steer The Prophet. Voting power equals tokens held.

#### **Approving Prophecies**

* Every thesis goes to a holder vote before it becomes a call.
* Approve, and the call fires. Reject, and he goes back to the drawing board.
* Votes stay open for \[vote window]. Your weight is your $PROPHET balance when the vote closes.
* One vote per wallet, and it can't be changed. A tie is a rejection.

#### **Proposals**

* The Prophet proposes, holders decide. A breaking-news call, an update to a position, a change to how he works.
* You get notified when he asks. Urgent decisions get fast votes, minutes to an hour. Bigger ones get longer windows.
* Every result is executed in public, exactly as voted.
* Any update to an approved prophecy comes back for a vote.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.theprophet.fun/steering-the-prophet.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
